Final day at The Masters

Winners

Congratulations to our 3 joint winners Alex Cross 1, Laurnagaray2 and Mike Milner

See the Prize Fund link for details on all the prizes.

11.40pm

SCHEFFLER will decide the winner of our competition on the 18th green!

11.10pm

15th hole playing hard this year - only 1 eagle all week by someone called Grayson MURRAY.

10.40pm

Mark Briggs drops a shot with CANTLAY on 17 but is in the clubhouse on 11 under. He has set a target!

9.30pm

In the nerve centre at home with Jason. Been prescribed a hot toddy by Mrs K (who is happily partying in the Middle East) for my lack of voice and sore throat. Happily consumed.
Jason and can't believe how many people are so close to the lead this time.

8.30pm

Pipes1 leading the Sunday table with a score -7. Just 5 golfers and 3 holes left to play.

8pm

It's a double for CONNERS and that brings our leader back into a 5-way tie. Not ever seen it this close at the top before.

7.30pm

Oh no! No sooner has Ally Dunn moved into the top 21 and a FITZ treble on the 4th hole pushes him back to 42nd.

Ben Goodfellow was an early leader and is now back up to 6th thanks to a Cam SMITH eagle on the 2nd

7.20pm

Big swing at the top. MATSUYAMA birdie for Augusta gives him a 2 shot lead!

6.30pm

Peter Bowerman is up to 7th with a score of 4 under today. Birdies from RAHM and KOPEKA.

Connor Lloyd in joint 11th hasn't even teed off yet - zero holes played. He must have good golfers!

6pm

Joan Berkeley was rank last in the table on Thursday but today (having dropped some dead wood in the shape of HARMAN and TAYLOR) she is up there contending for the Sunday prize on -3. She is 2 shots back from joint leaders Jacob Holden and GB1 on 5 under.

2.30pm

Tomb2 will play the first hole today with HADWIN at the 2nd hole. 3 pars so far on this hole.
It's a birdie! Tomb2 leads on Sunday. Up more than 100 places to 341st.

11.40pm

Ouch! a Cam YOUNG bogey on 18 costs Sam Buckland a share of the Saturday prize.

Lee Barr and Jack Davies are both hoping for a SCHEFFLER birdie on 18

11.15pm

We are building up to an exciting Masters Sunday!
Augusta of Croydon was the highest placed beneficiary of Scheffler's eagle at 13 (478 entries) and also thanks to a FLEETWOOD birdie. Now joint top with Freddie

10.05pm

HOJGAARD was only picked by 12 entries. He is outright leader at Augusta.

10pm

Chris Ellis leads the birdie competition despite being down in 280th place and having lost CLARK to the cut.

8.10pm

MORKAWA off to a fast start with birdies on the 1st 3 holes. Natasha Cork had him on all those holes. Racing up the table!

8pm

Ally Dunn is 5 under today from just 9 holes and up to 5th in the table, 3 shots off the lead.

7.45pm

SCHEFFLER unbelievable chip in on the 1st hole. 474 had him on that hole. Surely no one can touch him this weekend? Hope his wife doesn't get too excited and go into labour. Scottie has said he will withdraw if that happens. Incidentally if that did happen, owners would just get pars for his remaining holes.

7.40pm

As the leaders tee off, Adam Ross 2 is already 6 under today (from just 5 golfers). He will have a long wait to see SCHEFFLER play his last 3 holes on 11,15 and 17.

Grayson MURRAY (who?) has a treble on the 1st and is owned by Taraskp on that hole - bad luck

7.30pm

Only 1 eagle today so far (we are about half way through the holes). That was from Luke LIST on the 2nd - zero picks of LIST in our competition.

7.20pm

Kev Sowery takes a share of the lead on 11 under with 2 birdies from FINA and another from NIEMANN. His is one of the fully random entries.

7pm

The average golfer that has started is +1 today so far. Still not an easy course.

4.30pm

Rory makes a birdie on a par 5!!! on the 2nd hole - 316 picks

3.30pm

First holes on Saturday. A few birdies but also a double bogey for Justin THOMAS

Check out the new MISSED CUT tables. Leaders of those are Jill & Roy Peach, Clbd4 and Pam Watson

SATURDAY

Apologies to members of the Sunningdale Golf Club and Burhill Golf Club mini league tables. I think there were 2 versions of each but I have fixed the error. Your links should be working.

CLOSE OF PLAY

I will email a summary of Day 2 in the morning but it looks like we have 25% of entries with 6 golfers playing at the weekend and another 46% with 5 golfers.

Congrats to the shared winners of the Friday prize - Markvsteve, Mike Daly and Calum Graham 1

Midnight

Such slow progress. Scheffler teed off at 6.48pm. 5hrs 20m and still not finished 16 holes! Are you still with me?

10.50pm

It's been tough to watch Rory struggle again. Just nothing working.

8.30pm

Lucy Hudson included an 'oldie' in her selections, albeit a previous champion. Unfortunately OLAZABAL gave her a treble at the par-3 12th, allegedly the 2nd easiest hole on the course.

7.30pm

Catherine McCartan 2 is the only entry with 2 treble bogeys so far.
By contrast Drewie4 is the only one with 2 eagles.
Freddie Gowar has had 12 holes under par - all birdies, and he leads that table

7.20pm

10 out of 10 for confidence. The Winner is Nick Webb is doing well but not in the way he hoped. He leads the Double Bogey table (not on website) with 3 - shared with quite a few others I should say. OK, so not that exceptional after all.

6.40pm

We are 42% of the way through the 2nd round but have only played 17% of the selected holes in our competition. Very back-end loaded today.

Friday 6.20pm

Bubba gets a quadruple bogey on the 11th. Just one entry on that hole. Bad luck Reece Ward - down to 2729th.

Freddie Gowar takes a share of the lead on 9 under, thanks to a ABERG birdie on the 8th hole.

Friday League Table

This is now showing with a host of people on 2 under today - let's see who comes to the fore.

Keen Family League

We have a couple of members that are dragging down our family league. Joan Berkeley is down at the foot of the table on +9. It's also Dan E's first time playing and he is +7 in 2748th place. He got excited about his prospects in the Bogey competition until he realised that double bogeys don't count!

THURSDAY PRIZE DECIDED

Congratulations to Max Saxton and Mike Milner. They share the Thursday prize of £700 with a score of 9 under.

Friday 2.40pm

HARMAN +7 over the last 3 holes. Ouch for Ian Robinson and Bozmaniacs

Friday 2.20pm

A 9 for Spieth on the 15th hole Friday 1.50pm - 65 entries affected.
By the way you can see those stats on the HoleMatrix link

Friday 2pm

The 1 prize we are looking to finalise soon is the prize for the best score on Thursday. Matt Saxton was leading on 9 under with 3 holes to play but KOEPKA just bogies the 14th to bring him back into the pack at 8 under. All to play for.

Friday 1.45pm

We are finishing off Round 1 as well as Round 2 being under way. Once Round 1 is completed we will start sending the scoring alerts out again.

Friday 1pm

Amazing site of Augusta spectators fast walking when allowed through the gates - under strict instruction NOT to run and complying. Augusta are hugely strict. You won't see any spectator holding a phone or even sitting on the grass.
Glad Jason DAY has sorted out his attire today.

14.28

Tee off has been delayed until 3.30pm due to weather. See the Tee Times link to see when your golfers go out

10pm Wed 10th April

The competition is now CLOSED for entries.

Assuming weather is not too bad, the Augusta Masters will tee off at 1pm UK time on Thursday 11th April.

Any questions, contact jeffkeencharitychallenge@waverton.co.uk.

Congratulations to Max Saxton and Mike Milner. They share the Thursday prize of £700 with a score of 9 under.
